QR invoices? Now available free of charge with the Invoice Generator by Numarics

As of September 30, 2022, businesses issuing invoices in Switzerland will have to provide a QR payment section. This replaces the previous payment slip or upgrades it with a QR code for faster and more secure payment processing.

Numarics now creates QR invoices automatically in the Invoice Generator via mobile app or on the desktop. Completely free of charge.

Numarics provides the QR Invoice creation and validation feature free of charge to all Swiss entrepreneurs. Numarics users who already create their invoices with Numarics do not need to worry about anything with this. This updates the smooth debitor management via Numarics to the latest Swiss standard.

A Swiss QR generator was integrated into the invoicing with Numarics. The heart of the QR payment part, the Swiss QR code, is created automatically with it. This contains all payment information encoded.

In the visible part of the QR payment section on the invoice, the payment information encoded by QR can be seen.

The QR IBAN is new and replaces the old ESR (payment slip with reference number) in combination with the QR reference (QRR). You can obtain the QR IBAN from your Swiss bank on request. You can recognize the QR IBAN by the fact that the fifth digit is always a 3.

The switch to the QR invoice enables the invoice recipient to automate the allocation and verification of the invoice. The bill recipient can continue to pay at the counter. The post offices in Switzerland have already been equipped with QR scanners for this purpose.

With electronic payment via online banking, there is no need for your customers to go through the tedious process of typing. Instead, the QR number is scanned using a smartphone or PC camera. For this purpose, banks have equipped their mobile banking apps with a scanning function via smartphone camera. After scanning, the payer briefly checks the data and releases the payment.

QR invoices are thus another step towards the future, where we use technology for security and automation. Change is unnerving at first, but Numarics will make the transition seamless for you as a business owner. So you can fully enjoy the benefits of the upcoming QR Invoice!
